2.       What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files containing letters and numbers, punctuation and other technical characters that are stored on your device (computer, mobile phone, tablet, smart TV, etc.) when you visit certain websites. They are IT data that the web server sends to the user’s browser, are stored on the user’s device and are sent back to the server by the browser each time it requests data from the web server. They do not contain executable files, viruses, spyware or access to the user’s hard disk.

Cookies usually contain the domain name of the page visited (i.e. the address entered in the browser), the duration of the cookie and the information(s) stored. The cookie allows, among other things, the recognition of the user’s device and browser, thus facilitating the display of content tailored to the visitor’s needs and basic browsing functions, such as providing coherent sessions. In addition to user anonymity, they support the generation of visitor statistics.

We do not store any personally identifiable information in cookies, but we do use encrypted information from cookies to enhance your experience. For example, they help us to identify and resolve errors or to identify interesting, related products that we would like to draw your attention to when you browse our website.

However, if you subsequently contact us by filling in a form – with your explicit consent – on one of our websites where we use cookies, we may be able to use these cookies to learn about your visits to the website after you have filled in the form. This is done to enhance your user experience.

In case you have accepted the cookie notice on our websites, the notice will not reappear until you delete cookies in your browser settings (see section 6 for help).

If you share content from https://neurotrain.hu/ on a social networking site, such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, you may receive additional cookies from these websites. These cookies are not managed by https://neurotrain.hu/ and we recommend that you visit the third party website for more information about them and how they are managed.

3.       Cathegories of the cookies used on the website

3.1.     Functional cookies and cookies essential for the functioning of the website

These cookies are necessary to enable users to browse our sites and to use the services provided on the site. If you close your browser, these cookies will be automatically deleted from your computer. Without these cookies, we cannot guarantee you the use of our website. We use functional cookies to remember your actions on the website (e.g. language selected, login).

3.2.      Statistical cookies

We use these cookies to, among other things, keep track of which pages our visitors visit, how and how often they use our pages, and how long they stay on a particular page. We also use third-party cookies from our advertising partners to measure the success of our campaigns.

3.2.1.  Google Analytics

The Data Controller measures the number and characteristics of visitors to the Website using the web analytics service Google Analytics. Learn more about the Google Analytics service settings:

You can disable the HotJar service at: https://www.hotjar.com/opt-out

We use HotJar to better understand our users’ needs and to optimise this service and the user experience. Hotjar is a service that helps us to better understand our users’ habits (e.g. how much time they spend on each page, which links they click on, what they like and dislike, etc.) and allows us to build and maintain our service based on user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data about our users’ behaviour and their devices. This includes the IP address of the device (which is processed during the session and stored in an unidentified form), the screen size of the device, the type of device (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (identifying country only) and the language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymous user profile. Hotjar is prohibited from selling the information collected on our behalf.

3.3.2.  Meta-pixel

The Website uses the Meta pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) of the Facebook social network Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (Meta) for the following purposes:

The Data Controller uses the Meta pixel for remarketing purposes. This allows the Controller to display interest-based advertisements to users of the Website when they visit the Facebook social network or other websites that also use this tool, in this way the Controller can display advertisements of interest to the data subject in order to make the Website more interesting for Users. The meta-page is also used by the Data Controller to provide Users with Facebook advertisements that are relevant to their interests. The Meta-screen allows the Data Controller to monitor the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and marketing research purposes. Thanks to the marketing tools used, the User’s browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Facebook server as soon as the User has consented to the use of cookies that require authorisation.

By integrating the Meta-screen, the Meta receives the information that the User has opened the Website or clicked on an advertisement of the Data Controller. If the User has registered for one of Meta’s services, Meta may associate the visit with the User’s account. The processing of such data by Meta is subject to the Meta Platforms Ireland Limited Privacy Notice. Specific information and details about the Meta Desktop and the functionality of the Meta Desktop are available in the Meta Help Center.

In relation to the Meta-screen, the Data Controller and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (Meta) are considered as joint controllers for the purposes of the generation and optimisation of personalised and relevant advertising and the delivery of related messages via the Meta system. The joint controller agreement between the Data Controller and Meta is available here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. For the processing that takes place after the data have been collected and transmitted, only Meta is considered the data controller. The reports and analyses are produced in aggregated and anonymised form. Further detailed information is available at the following link: (https://hu-hu.facebook.com/business/help/952192354843755?helpref=faq_content).

Further information on Meta’s personal data processing, including the legal basis and the rights of data subjects, can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
